Disney World may be magical, but sometimes things happen that make it a little less than magical. For example, sometimes rides close due to weather, technical issues, or other reasons. Sometimes, fireworks get delayed or canceled.
Transportation and Ticket Center
Well, today, those people looking to go to Magic Kingdom from the Transportation and Ticket Center were met with a massive delay because the Express Monorail to the park is currently closed. And, well, that’s caused some issues getting to the park.
When we arrived at the Transportation and Ticket Center this morning, we noticed that the Express Monorail to Magic Kingdom was closed. Now, this isn’t just a short closure either; the train went down and needs to be towed, so the entire line will be out of service for a while.

Right now, the bus service hasn’t started up yet as an alternative, so the only way to get to Magic Kingdom is via a boat. And, well, the boat service is now backing up because so many people are trying to get to the park. There is currently a LOOOOONNNG line for the Ferryboat. Right now, only two ferryboats are running, so it’s taking some time for those people to get to Magic Kingdom.

Normally, only one ferryboat runs to and from the Transportation and Ticket Center and Magic Kingdom, so right now, this is double what they normally do, but at the moment, it doesn’t quite seem like enough. However, we learned that the Resort Monorail is still running, so you can use it to get to Magic Kingdom, although it is sort of the long way around. But right now, it’s probably the fastest.
