Construction Photos Released for NEW Land Coming to Universal Orlando

A lot of work is happening at Universal Orlando right now. From work on a brand-new roller coaster to the complete reimagining of The Lost Continent in Islands of Adventure, construction walls are up everywhere.

Thanks to Bioreconstruct on X, we got an inside look at some of the projects going on, and it’s giving us a better idea of how the project is coming along. Ready to check out a very construction-heavy, dirt-filled Universal?

Islands of Adventure is going through phased closures, and behind the walls, buildings are being torn down as the whole space gets a redo.

Universal hasn’t announced what is coming to the space, but rest assured, we’ll be keeping a close eye on it for any updates. Here’s a great look at the construction walls and where the divide is. The Mythos restaurant will be closing in 2027 and will also be transformed during the construction project.

Right now, rumors are circling that it will be themed to The Lord of the Rings, Zelda, or Pokémon. Universal hasn’t confirmed anything, but we’d be down for any of these! A trip to Mordor? Say less.

Fast & Furious: Hollywood Drift is about to open in Universal Hollywood, but Orlando is getting its own in 2027. This used to be Hollywood Rip Ride Rockit, but it’s being transformed into Fast & Furious: Hollywood Drift.
