There are even MORE reasons to get excited about dining your way around Disney World in 2027!
New things are constantly in the works around Disney World, which is one of the reasons why we can’t stop heading back again and again. If you love snacking your way around the resort as much as we do, there are six NEW reasons you’ll want to start making your 2027 vacation plans now!
Let’s take a look at the six new restaurants that are scheduled to open in Disney World in 2027!
Harryhausen’s Restaurant
The brand-new Monsters, Inc.-themed land Monstropolis is currently under construction at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, which will bring new entertainment, attractions, AND dining to the park!
Disney recently confirmed that the land will open in phases starting in 2027, with Harryhausen’s Restaurant included in the initial 2027 opening phase.
Inspired by the restaurant of the same name from the film, Disney shared that the menu at Harryhausen’s will be “unlike anything else we offer at Walt Disney World.” It will even feature a Sushi Chef Audio-Animatronic like the one seen in the movie! But if you’re not a sushi fan, don’t worry — Disney also said the restaurant will serve more than just sushi.
Archie’s Scare Pig Pizza
In addition to the table service restaurant Harryhausen’s, Monstropolis will also offer a new quick service restaurant called Archie’s Scare Pig Pizza! The restaurant takes its name from Fear Tech’s six-legged pig mascot Archie, who, after years of being ‘borrowed’ by mischievous Monsters University students, has “become a fan favorite on both campuses.”
Archie’s Scare Pig Pizza is also scheduled to open in the initial opening phase of Monstropolis in 2027.
The Hacienda at Pueblo Esperanza
Monstropolis isn’t the only exciting new land opening in Disney World next year! Disney’s Animal Kingdom’s new land, Pueblo Esperanza, is also set to debut in 2027.
The land will include THREE new rides — Indiana Jones and the Myth of the Jade Serpent, Antonio’s Fiesta de Encanto, and El Carrusel de los Animalitos. Plus, it will also feature one of the biggest quick-service restaurants at Disney World, housed in a large hacienda.
Pueblo Esperanza will open to guests in 2027, so we’ll be on the lookout for more details about the new restaurant as the opening timeline gets closer!
Moonglade
The newest Disney Vacation Club hotel, Disney Lakeshore Lodge, is scheduled to open in the summer of 2027, bringing three new restaurants along with it!
First up, Moonglade is a table service restaurant that will serve “thoughtfully prepared dishes featuring seasonal and locally sourced ingredients.”
Guests can enjoy the lovely nature views from the floor-to-ceiling windows when the restaurant opens along with the hotel in summer 2027.
Bay Lake Provisions
Disney Lakeshore Lodge will also open with a new quick service restaurant, Bay Lake Provisions. Guests can grab breakfast, lunch, and dinner from this marketplace-style spot featuring an open-kitchen atmosphere.
Disney has also teased that guests should “keep an eye out for woodland critters inspired by beloved Disney classics,” keeping with the nature-focused theme of the hotel.
Paint Out Point Bar & Grill
The third new restaurant opening with Lakeshore Lodge in 2027 is Paint Out Point Bar & Grill. The pool bar will be located next to Lakeshore Lagoon, the zero-entry pool that will serve as the heart of The Wetlands water recreation area.
Here you’ll find shareable bites and specialty beverages to keep you fueled up as you enjoy the hotel’s feature pool.
We can’t wait to try ALL of these new Disney World restaurants when they open their doors in 2027! We’ll be on the lookout for more details, including full menus and official opening dates, in the coming months, so stay tuned to Disney Food Blog for the latest updates!

It appears that none of the newly dining venues will feature character dining experiences. If this is accurate, Walt Disney World (WDW) currently offers only eight character dining locations, averaging two experiences per theme park. By comparison, Disneyland Paris also provides two character dining options per park. However, WDW manages a significantly higher volume of guests, with an annual attendance of approximately 52 million visitors compared to 16 million at Disneyland Paris. This represents a 225% higher guest volume at WDW resort, highlighting a clear disparity in character dining capacity relative to demand. As a dedicated guest who has visited WDW regularly over the past 44 years, I have observed a noticeable shift in the resort’s operational focus. There has been a visible decline in entertainment offerings tailored to young children and multi-generational families. Concurrently, there has been a significant expansion of adult-oriented lounges and the introduction of major attractions (in MK) that are structurally or texturally unsuited for younger guests. I believe this was Walt’s main focus when creating MK.
I would greatly appreciate any insight or perspective DFB can share regarding this apparent strategic shift away from family-centric entertainment for younger demographics and true Disney lovers. Thank you.
3 old restaurant.rethemed. Hopefully the menus aren’t too expensive and too far out there for normal people, just because they put pickled onions ,and hot chilies on everything doesn’t mean it’s good!
