Tokyo Disneyland has been on a major expansion kick lately, with entire lands getting reimagined and brand-new attractions, shops, and dining spots popping up across the resort.

Toyko Disneyland
The latest wave of updates is hitting Tomorrowland, where a full-scale transformation has been underway for a couple of years now — and Disney just pulled back the curtain on some huge new details. Tokyo Disneyland just gave us a fresh reason to start planning a trip across the Pacific — a brand-new restaurant is coming to the park’s reimagined Tomorrowland.
Element Express
As part of the massive overhaul of Tokyo Disneyland’s Tomorrowland, Disney has confirmed a new dining spot called Element Express, opening in the all-new Tomorrowland Plaza in 2027.
Here’s how Disney describes the new eatery as a place where “Guests can visit Element Express at Tomorrowland Plaza for snacks and drinks that are perfect for relaxing.”
That’s about all we know for now — it sounds like a quick-service stop built for grabbing a bite and taking a breather in the middle of a busy Tomorrowland day. We don’t have concept art or a menu yet, but you know we’ll be keeping our eyes on this one and will update you the moment more details drop.

What’s Happening to Tomorrowland?
Element Express is just one piece of a much bigger transformation. Tokyo Disneyland’s Tomorrowland has been under construction for a while now, and the centerpiece of the refreshed land will be the new Tomorrowland Plaza. Disney shared that the “Tomorrowland Plaza embodies the idea of mankind and nature living in harmony. The area will be decorated by structures inspired by the elements that make up nature such as fire, water, earth and wood, and by the light from celestial objects such as the Sun and Moon. For guests resting at Tomorrowland Plaza, these many monuments will serve as reminders of the interconnectedness of humanity, nature and space.”

Space Mountain Earthrise
Of course, the plaza isn’t just about food — it’s being built around a completely rebuilt version of one of Tokyo Disneyland’s most iconic attractions. The original Space Mountain closed back in 2024, and it’s returning in 2027 as Space Mountain Earthrise. Space Mountain Earthrise is an all-new indoor roller coaster-type attraction that takes guests on an unforgettable journey through outer space, featuring brand new architecture and a newly developed ride system that combines imaginative storytelling and immersive theatrical effects inspired by the wonders of space. Between the rebuilt coaster and the new Tomorrowland Plaza surrounding it, this is shaping up to be one of the biggest transformations Tokyo Disneyland has seen in years.

At this point, Disney hasn’t released concept art or a menu for Element Express, so we don’t yet know exactly what snacks and drinks guests will find there. As always, we’ll be watching closely for any updates and will bring you the details — and hopefully some concept art — as soon as they’re revealed.
