Universal Orlando Announces Retheme For Horror Make-Up Show

We finally got an update on Universal Orlando’s Horror Make-Up Show, and it’s a big one!

Universal Studios Orlando

Universal Horror Make-Up Show at Universal Studios Florida closed earlier this year on May 12th. The closure was for a refurbishment to completely reimagine the classic attraction to have a mix of classic and modern horror properties. After a long wait, Universal has given us an update, and while we’re still waiting on some details, this new attraction title says a lot.

Universal Studios Orlando just announced Universal Horror Make-Up Show featuring Blumhouse! This new live show will have guests “discover how Hollywood’s top special effects artists have terrified moviegoers for over 100 years, from Universal’s classic monsters to the modern horrors of Blumhouse.”

We were huge fans of the original version of this show that went through how Hollywood makes some of their iconic monsters and special effects. The magic really started in the queue, where you’d see real props from famous movies. We’re really curious to see what this new version of the show brings!

Universal posted that there will be more details coming soon, but they haven’t announced when those details could be coming. Universal also hasn’t shared when we could be seeing this new version of the show open. We’ll keep our eyes and ears open for any news that could be dropping.

While you’re waiting for this horror show, you can still go and enjoy frights and fears at Universal Halloween Horror Nights! The event is still taking place on select nights through November 1st, and it features tons of immersive haunted houses, scare zones, exclusive food, merchandise, and more.
