RED ALERT! RED ALERT! Sound the alarm because my beignets are MISSING! Okay, okay, not really, but you have to understand how much beignets affect my visit to Disney World, and that they’re moving to a different location.
We knew they were moving, but now that day is here, and we’re feeling the feelings. But don’t worry, beingets are not going away, just switching spots.
Normally, you can find these delightful Mickey-shaped beignets at Scat Cat’s Club at Disney’s Port Orleans Resort — French Quarter, but Scat Cat’s Club is going under refurbishment. The Cafe and Lounge are officially closed as of October, and the cafe is set to be closed till December and the Lounge until January.
For now, you can find the beignets and coffee at Sassagoula Floatworks & Food Factory, and a temporary bar will be available near the cafe from 5 PM to 11 PM each night. Okay, so they’re just moving a bit over, but we don’t want you to see it closed and get worried about your beignets.
If you’re just craving beignets and the Mickey shape isn’t a requirement for you (come on, you’re in Disney World! It’s got to be a requirement), then you can also find them at Golden Oak Outpost at Magic Kingdom. It’s right by Tiana’s Bayou Adventure, so you feel like Princess Tiana made them herself.
Maybe you’re just a donut person (and don’t argue with me about the difference between a beignet and a donut; they’re pretty dang similar). Joffrey’s Coffee locations have these big donuts that I start off almost every park day with. My personal favorite is chocolate or the pink one with a hot cocoa!

It doesn’t really matter where they move them unless it’s to Disney Springs bc they’ve made it too much of a hassle for locals and day guests, even if AP or DVC, to get anywhere to enjoy just about every part of Wdw. We just can’t be bothered jumping through their hoops anymore. So sad….
I’m so tired of every inch of wdw bring closed, destroyed, refurbished, remodeled, changed!!! Especially as wdw still charges higher, full prices for everything….yet people are still crazy enough to go and pay!!! And as long as they do, Disney will keep demolishing and changing everything that made it wdw in the first place! And keep charging ridiculously exorbitantly higher prices! So stop complaining. You are the ones enabling Disney! Others may put on blinders and play Pollyanna and cheer on the changes but we all really know how this will all end!! Frankly, Wdw should have just closed and sped up the work….then reopened with the higher prices and new rules for whoever wanted to bother to come and see their dreams and traditions gone. Especially their holiday traditions. Better enjoy beignets while you can. They’ll probably get rid of those soon, too!!!
Do you know if the gluten free ones will also be at the new location? I was really looking forward to them but am worried now that they’ve moved.
