Six Flags Just Bought One of the Most Popular Roller Coasters in the U.S.

One of the best places to go for big thrills are the Six Flags parks across the U.S. These amusement parks often have record-breaking rides with major drops, cool inversions, and high speeds. And if you’re a frequent Six Flags visitor, you may want to be on the lookout for a kind-of-new coaster!

Six Flags Entertainment Corp. announced in a press release on Tuesday, September 8th that it has acquired the popular ArieForce One coaster from Fun Spot America’s Atlanta location. Six Flags describes the ride as “the celebrated steel roller coaster that captured the imagination of thrill-seekers around the world and quickly earned recognition as one of the most acclaimed coaster experiences of the modern era.”

This attraction will be coming to one of Six Flags’ parks in the 2028-2029 season, though it has not yet been revealed which park it will be. ArieForce One was named for Fun Spot founder John Arie Sr. and was a hit among coaster enthusiasts for the three years it resided in Atlanta. Thrill junkies traveled across the country to ride it and experience its “signature blend of speed, airtime, inversions and nonstop intensity.” The ride closed at Fun Spot America Atlanta back in August.
