We’re not ready to “let it go,” which is why we were so excited when Frozen‘s Idina Menzel first commented on the potential of a third Frozen film in 2022. Then Josh Gad teased his return as Olaf in a new Frozen movie in 2023 after then-Disney CEO Bob Iger announced a third movie.

Eventually, Disney revealed that Frozen 3 would release on November 24th, 2027. We got to see some concept art of the new movie, but since then, it’s been mostly crickets…until now. Yes, Disney has FINALLY offered up some new details about the new Frozen movie! Including some new concept art and some hints at the plot!
We’re LIVE at D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event, and that means we’re learning more about everything that Disney has planned for the future with its parks and movies. While attending a panel, we finally got a first look at Frozen 3!
Kristen Bell, Idina Menzel, and Josh Gad all joined together on stage to discuss the new movie! They shared that the movie would follow Anna’s Honeymoon, and even a plot of Olaf finding love. And they even shared a sneak peek at one of the film’s new songs!

Just last year, Jared Bush, Chief Creative Officer of Walt Disney Animation Studios, promised that the new movie would be “phenomenal.” He continued, saying, “When people see it, I think returning to that world with those characters, the entertainment value of watching them go on a new journey, but that feels very organic to the story they’ve already been on, is fantastic.”
