A new Disney book is coming out, and we’re definitely going to need to read it.

Former CEO of the Walt Disney Company, Bob Chapek, has written his memoir, and we officially have a release date.
“BEHIND THE CASTLE WALLS: My Thirty Years at the Happiest Place on Earth” by Bob Chapek is scheduled for publication on September 29th, 2026. The book “chronicles his tenure at the company, including as The Walt Disney Company’s CEO. In it, he reveals for the first time the high-stakes maneuverings that unraveled behind the scenes from his 2020 appointment to his subsequent dismissal in 2022.”

It will also cover Chapek’s early years and his journey to becoming CEO, as he started as the Marketing Director for Home Entertainment and went on to President of Disney Consumer Products and Chairman of Disney Parks, Experiences and Products.

We are so excited to read the book and learn more insight about Disney and Bob Chapek himself. Another former CEO, Bob Iger, published a book in 2019 called “The Ride of a Lifetime: Lessons Learned from 15 Years as CEO of the Walt Disney Company.” I guess he’ll need to come out with a sequel to talk about coming back in as CEO for a few more years!
