But yesterday, Disney announced they’re piloting a major change to the Disney Store with a new AI-powered shopping assistant. And Disney adults are already unhappy!
Per Disney, the Disney Store AI Personal Shopping Assistant aims to provide seamless shopping experiences, making it even easier to find dream products that bring the magic of Disney Store straight to your home. Whether you’re looking for the perfect gift, styling your next Disney Parks day outfit, or simply browsing for something new, Disney Store’s AI Personal Shopping Assistant will deliver an experience fans can only find with Disney Store.

There were dozens of comments on Disney’s Instagram post, and the majority were negative. The top comments include “How about nooooooo,” “No one wants this,” and “AI boo.”

Most comments were criticizing both Disney and the new AI shopping assistant. One user commented, “Your website doesn’t even work properly half the time. Fix that first.” Another added, “We want real people. who actually listen and understand. NO!”

Meanwhile, some critics are concerned about the Cast Members this new system could replace. One user asked, “How many cast members are harmed in the creation of this?”
